Surge voltage arrester consisting of base element with remote indicator contact and ground connectors, for mounting on NS 35/7.5, nominal voltage: 230 V AC, 3 + 1 circuit
Class II surge protectors (SPD) are usually installed in small distribution boxes or equipment control cabinets. These devices provide a second level of protection in a third level surge protection design. Class II surge protectors must be able to protect equipment from the effects of surge voltages caused by indirect lightning strikes or switching operations. The surge voltage caused by switching operation is usually highly dynamic and more complex than the surge voltage caused by lightning strikes, and only technologies with fast response, such as varistor technology, can withstand this change.
