Product Description

The complete set of electromagnetic stirring equipment for continuous casting is composed of three parts: special electromagnetic stirring power supply, closed circulation system of cooling water and stirrer.
1. Power supply part: It consists of isolation transformer, frequency conversion unit and automatic monitoring unit. The functions of each part are as follows
 1.1 Isolation transformer refers to the input winding and output winding in the electrical isolation of each other transformer, in order to avoid accidental contact with the live body (or due to insulation damage may be live metal parts) and the earth caused by the danger, the main isolation of the primary power circuit, the secondary circuit floating to the ground to ensure the safety of electricity. The isolation transformer in this design is the transformer ratio 380V/380V, and the capacity is 150KVA dry transformer.
1.2 The power supply part is composed of frequency converter and automatic monitoring part, the role is to convert the mains power 380V, 50Hz three alternating current into 1-10Hz suitable for electromagnetic agitator, current 0- (rated value) A continuously adjustable low-frequency three alternating current, supply the agitator to work, this design inverter output rated current 400A. The automatic control and monitoring part is composed of Siemens PLC and touch screen, which controls the working state of the inverter and the working state of the water system, sets the working parameters of the inverter and the water system on the touch screen, and displays the working parameters of the inverter and the water system in real time.
2. Cooling water closed circulation system: composed of water tank, 2 anti-corrosion pumps (one used and one prepared), plate heat exchanger, testing instrument, control unit. The electromagnetic stirrer (coil) is cooled by pure water to extend the service life of the electromagnetic stirrer. The heat generated by the electromagnetic stirrer is replaced by the secondary cooling water of the plate heat exchanger to ensure the normal working temperature of the electromagnetic stirrer. The cooling water flow level of the electromagnetic stirring in this design is 12m3/h.
3. Agitator coil: installed under the mold plate, the lower half of the mold plate is inserted into the agitator, and the molten steel moves through the magnetic field to achieve the purpose of stirring.

3.The surface quality of casting billet Meet the standard YB/ T2011-2004, no visible scars, peeling, overlapping, cracks, depth of more than 1mm hair lines on the surface of the casting billet; Pinholes and pores, ripples and vibration marks with depths greater than 2mm; Depth or height greater than 3mm cold sputtering pits. The test method and low-power test category are in accordance with the following table (suitable for low-power test of high-quality steel continuous casting billets).

4.The internal quality of casting billet The internal quality of the billet after electromagnetic stirring is evaluated by cross section sulfur printing or acid leaching. Compared with the unstirred casting billet, the internal cracks and corner cracks should be improved by at least one level or more, such as the central crack of the original casting billet is 2.5, and the central crack of the stirred casting billet should be ≤2. 5. Central porosity and central shrinkage Compared with the unstirred casting billet, the center loose and the center shrinkage hole should be improved by at least one level, such as the center loose and the center shrinkage hole of the original casting billet is 2.5 grade, and the center loose and the center shrinkage hole of the stirred casting billet should be ≤2 grade.
